That's a good pace for me. She's munching on some leaves right now. Snail is the protagonist in this story, if there is one, yes, it is a snail. We didn't write a novel with a plot, characters, and an arc with all of the elements that one should know of if they weren't daydreaming through english classes . Do not do that! It's essential knowledge.
But If I were daydreaming, (and I might have been), Snail was there with me. Still is, helping with letters and such. Snail mail is making its way out to folks who have supported the publication fundraiser, as seen in the above photo. https://www.indiegogo.com/en/projects/mirra/route
It's 15 days left, and she is oozing her way toward the finish line. (Do help)!
Here's a little passage about Snail in the first Volume of r.o.u.t.e. ~ a small book you can gather as one of the pledge rewards~ and good reading for an autumn walk.
"If this book had roots, they would spiral their way among the forest undergrowth where fungi enmesh our possibilities and your presence is felt; where the weight of a foot on spongy territory becomes the dream for a sleepy snail. Snail, curled up with her book at the base of this tree, probing its pages for nourishment, sinks into slumber. Her needs are met. Slimy drool rolls down the little pages of her story: they are the leaves scattered beneath her belly, and the dreams: Sonic reverberations from over yonder."
Thanks so so much to those who have shared and supported this work~ much more that'll be coming for you to discover at a snail's pace, (or frog), if that's your thing. Hop-along then!
