Deep Ocean Magic

Waking from my dreams, I remember having been a night moth. Sister to the moon, deep purple and shimmery. This wasn't the dream but the feeling of who I've been in these liminal spaces.

On my wrist there's a burn I received from a cast iron frying pan. For days it's been a light fleshy pink color; open, fresh, & stinging. My niece pulled a leaf from her aloe vera last night. After applying the juice the wound sealed up, immediately revealing a deep dark purple.

"This is me," I thought. Watching this healing wound was like having a mood ring that actually reads moods. I took some time with this color, wondering, "Is this really what I look like inside?" Yes... and no, and yes again. Yes, this is the color of me, deeply felt.

And so I dreamt this morning, wrapped inside a fuzzy cocoon, I dreamt of gathering all the courage I'd need to dive into ocean waters while holding a hook that's tethered to the sky~ sending my body downward against all earthly instincts into deep waters. I hooked it onto a treasure box on the ocean floor, only to find that the box was weightless and formless. We swim to the surface with a deep ocean magic. Now I'm this keeper of deep ocean magic. The one who keeps this magic is the one who shares it. To keep it one must share it, and so I am sharing it with you...
